" THE LION DOOR "
This panel, still in the original
door, was the most highly priced
Pub door in England in the mid
'70's.
When originally purchased for the
Collection, several major
dealers in the UK tried to stop
it from being exported to the USA.
The Lion Door - in Close up detail.
Please note: These poor pictures make it hard to see,
but the lion is
reverse oil painted on this extraordinary
piece of
Acid Etched and Brilliant Cut glass,
and then mirrored
with Mercury Silvering.
