pre-production
fall 2010
As of May 2010, the Franklin Collection has started
production on filming the
restoration of several more 1958 220 S Classic
Mercedes. (And 2 more 300 d cars)

"The Cream"
80,000 original miles, not driven
since 1982. Restoration completed to factory -new drivability as of April
2004. 22 years of sitting garaged, covered and quiet.
Completely original car, no rust.
Was partialy disassembled in 1982, but never completed.
Wood was redone,
and chrome replated. After buying the car in late
2003, the re assembly has been completed except: Remaining:
2 original Red leather seats need red leather
replacements, and
a new top (dark brown) will be installed.
Car looks, and runs, like new. About half way through
her restoration, with everything so original and pristine, she picked up
the nick name "The Cream".

is completely original, and very low milage.

PROP Car #4
After more than 20 years of not running, and following several days of
cleaning, oiling, and tinkering, on May 15, 2004 the "Adi" fires up, and
the 300 engine runs again.
PROP Car #5 is the same 1960 300 d, but cream colored.

Rebuilt Engine, rechromed, suicide doors. Pending Deal.
