| The Norbulinka Institute is pleased to announce that the 30th Kalachakra
Empowerment to be given by HH the Dalai Lama will take place at Shri Dhanyakataka,
where the Buddha first taught the Kalachakra. Several years ago, the Busshokai
Centre of Japan made a request to His Holiness through the Norbulingka
Institute to grant the Kalachakra Empowerment there. He agreed to do so
in 2006, which will also be the 2550th year after the Buddha's Passing
Away, taking into account the sanctity and auspiciousness of the location
where the original Kalachakra Teaching was given. The Busshokai Centre,
who are the patrons of this Kalachakra teaching, especially requested that
the Norbulingka Institute organize the event. Proceedings will take place

in India to film the Kalachakra Empowerment Initiation, with future proceeds
